“You are the only one I see, my only thought, my only reason; when it comes to women, there is only one. You. Understand?”

Life was rough growing up; losing both parents and being sent to foster care put me on a path of heartache and distrust. Becoming a mother in my teens to a daughter who was born deaf made me want to find a different path, one my parents would have wanted me on in the beginning. A path that will lead me to all the thing’s mama wanted me to have—friends, love, and family.

Growing up in Riverside, Oregon, has always been a blessing and a curse. As the centerfielder for the MLB team Riverside Legends, it has been a blessing. Having everyone in town know your business before you do is a curse. That is mostly because of my mother and ex-girlfriend. My only focus in life is baseball and winning our first World Series Championship. Until one night, all my priorities shift.
What happens when two people’s eyes meet and sparks fly—the tether that connects them, pulling them closer—but she has no clue who he is?
Is this fate, love at first sight, insta-love, for both parties, or is it all one-sided?
